it's cold

days are getting longer and generally I'm feeling more like a cat than I have for the last few months. Butterflies to chase, mice to hunt, generally spring is here.

Only problem is there seems to be a lot of hard point cold wet stuff coming out the sky - doesn't seem to bother the dog next door, but that's dogs for you. Me, I feel the cold and need to sit very very close to a heating duct ...

outcompeted

Obviously I havn't moved with the times. Some pesky cat in america is now a celebrity twitterer.

Given that that cat details everything it does, including every poo, it makes me want to agree with the bishop of paisley. Personally I like to keep my business secret. There are some things that are secret cat business and some things that are private cat business ...

vets, bloody vets

Timqat is a trifle out of sorts. You see he went to the vet a couple of days ago for his annual shot, and in the course of this not only did he get a thermometer up his bum he had his fat bits felt, and was told that big cat as he is 7.75kg is taking the piss just a bit.

So he's on a diet. One little tin of fish and 3/4 of a cup of cat nuts a day. Not a happy puss ...

heat and skylights

It's been hot, really hot. Too hot for cats. Have had to lie on bathroom tiles and under plants in the veggie patch to stay cool. Means I couldn't check my territory the way I wanted and that's concerning as there's a new cat down the street.

Anyway, last night it cooled down, and I went out to check things. Went up on the roof of my humans' house to see if that pesky cat had been there.

He hadn't, but I made this interesting discovery, or so I thought. The skylight was open and I could walk out onto the flywire and look down at the humans watching tv.

This turnedout to be a less than good idea as the flywire was clipped in and not really designed to support the weight of a cat.

Crash! Whoosh! suddenly I found myself falling through the air. Fortunately I managed to alnd on my feet and miss the humans on the way down. Tried to walk off very coolly as if this was normal, but I'm not sure I convinced anyone ...
